Two Injured in Head-On Collision in Columbia, MO

Two young men were injured in a disastrous head-on collision that took place on Friday August 9, 2013 just before noon. Troyveia Thomas, 18 of Arlington, TX and Jonathan Peck, 27 of Booneville, MO were traveling westbound on Highway 40 east of Rocheport Gravel Road. Thomas was driving a 2002 Mustang when he tried to avoid an unknown vehicle, overcorrected and struck Peck's 1995 Toyota Camry head-on. Authorities reported the men were both pinned in their vehicles when they arrived. Both men were taken to University Hospital, Thomas via ambulance and Peck via helicopter. Thomas has been reported to be in fair condition and Peck is reportedly in serious condition.

It is important to know the identity of this unknown or phantom vehicle. Potentially, there is an uninsured motorist claim that can be made by Troyveia Thomas against this phantom vehicle. It is also important to talk with any witnesses that saw what took place. An accident reconstruction expert can help reconstruct this accident and see what actually took place. An expert can take pictures and measurements at the scene to see if these stories are plausible and recreate what took place right before the accident occurred.
